TX SenseAbilities is happy to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the National Family Association for DeafBlind (NFADB). NFADB is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that has served families with individuals who are DeafBlind since 1994. Since its inception, NFADB has continued to empower success for families of the DeafBlind community. Originally started by and for families, NFADB has expanded to include any interested individuals, professionals, organizations, and agencies that wish to empower the voices of families with individuals who are DeafBlind.
What We Believe
NFADB believes that individuals who are DeafBlind are valued members of their communities and should have the same opportunities and choices as others in the community. They believe in:
- Supporting families to ADVOCATE for services
- Helping families CONNECT for support
- Providing information and training to TEACH families and professionals
