The VI/O&M Mentor Program through TSBVI Outreach prepares new TVIs and COMS to succeed in the field.

Overview

The TSBVI VI/O&M Mentor Program matches novice teachers of students with visual impairments (TVI) and certified orientation and mobility specialists (COMS) with experienced VI professionals in Texas schools. This program strives to provide a mentor through the first year of employment and for one entire school year beyond when all training and certification requirements are completed.

Statewide VI/O&M Mentor Coordinator

With a Master's in Special Education (VI) and over 12 years of experience, Courtney serves as the VI/O&M Mentor Coordinator, providing statewide support for VI professionals through mentoring partnerships and collaborative learning.
