About
Texas Focus is a dynamic, biennial conference hosted by TSBVI Outreach in even-numbered years—created to inspire and elevate everyone who supports students who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision. The event brings together hundreds of professionals, educators, vocational rehabilitation specialists, family members, and university students from across Texas and beyond to explore foundational skills, discover new research, and dive into emerging trends that shape our field.
With engaging keynote speakers, hands-on breakout sessions, and interactive technology demonstrations, attendees can design a learning experience that fits their needs and goals. Texas Focus also offers networking opportunities among colleagues, exhibitors, and families, helping participants strengthen connections and build community.
To support ongoing professional growth, participants can earn continuing education credits (ACVREP and SBEC) while staying current on best practices.
Texas Focus 2026
Thank you to all the incredible attendees, presenters, and exhibitors who joined us on June 4–6 in Austin for Texas Focus 2026: “Together We Thrive: Pathways to Progress for Teams.” Being back together in person for the first time since 2020 reminded us just how powerful our community is when we collaborate.
We’re leaving inspired, energized, and ready to be even stronger advocates for Texas students who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision.
Stay tuned for information about our next Texas Focus conference in 2028 on this page.
