Southwest Orientation and Mobility Association (SWOMA)

The Southwest Orientation and Mobility Association (SWOMA) hosts an annual conference for O&M specialists each fall.

About

Each fall, TSBVI hosts the Southwest Orientation & Mobility Association (SWOMA) Conference either in-person or virtually. This conference features three days of learning, connecting, and professional development for those in the field of orientation and mobility, specifically for Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS).

Our Fall 2025 SWOMA Conference, themed “Transitions: How We Support the Various Stages of Life,” took place virtually on Nov. 6–8. Nearly 300 attendees from across Texas, the U.S., and the world attended keynote and breakout sessions, where more than 13 hours of CEU’s (ACVREP and SBEC) were available. See the 2025 session schedule to get a feel for the content offered at this event.
