Alert message

iDevices such as the iPad, iPhone, iPod, or iPod Touch have recently come into popular use by students with visual impairments to access media and complete homework. These devices are also used as tools for orientation and mobility and communication. This workshop will teach the accessibility features that allow students with limited or no vision to use VoiceOver features to access these mobile devices nonvisually. Students will also be introduced to apps that aid in building Expanded Core Curriculum skills. This workshop may coincide with the refreshable braille display workshop. Note: this section is not appropriate for students who have enough vision to access devices visually.
