Belgian Waffles
Instructions:
- Spray inside of Belgian waffle iron with non-stick spray.
- Preheat waffle iron by plugging it in with it closed.
- In large mixing bowl, combine:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- In small mixing bowl, combine:
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ¼ cup oil
- Add milk mixture to egg mixture.
- Beat with whisk or electric mixer on low, just until beaten.
- Scoop about ½ to ¾ cup of batter onto waffle iron.
- Bake for about 5 minutes.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
- Serve with sliced strawberries and powdered sugar if desired.
Yield: 5-6 waffles
