Sausage and Egg Puff
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground hot sausage
- 2 slices white bread, diced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 ⅔ cups milk
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 drop Tabasco
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- In a skillet, brown sausage, making sure there are no large lumps.
- Drain.
- In a 2-qt. casserole, layer sausage, bread, and cheese.
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs with milk, salt, salt, Tabasco, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour mixture over sausage, bread and cheese layers.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Uncover.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
Yield: Serves 6.
