- 1 Large can whole tomatoes
- **4-14 fresh jalapeno peppers (optional)
- 1-4 tablespoon sugar (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1½ teaspoon onion powder
- In blender, combine above ingredients and chop.
- Put in cooking pot and bring to a boil.
- Turn down heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
**For mild sauce use: 3 to 4 peppers
For medium sauce use: 5 to 8 peppers
For hot sauce use: 10 to 14 peppers
