Hamburger Helper Cheesy Enchilada
Stovetop Ingredients:
- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups hot water
- For topping: 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
- Brown hamburger meat in 10-inch skillet; drain.
- Stir in ½ cup milk, the hot water, Sauce Mix and uncooked Rice.
- Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat (sauce will thicken as it stands).
- Stir 3 tablespoons milk and Topping mix in bowl 30 seconds; set aside.
- Pour topping* over beef mixture.
*If topping is too thick to pour, stir in an additional ½ to 1 teaspoon milk.
If desired, fill warm tortillas or taco shells with beef mixture.
Microwave Ingredients:
- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- 2 cups boiling water
- ½ cup milk
Instructions:
- Crumble 1 pound hamburger meat into 2½ -quart microwavable casserole or bowl.
- Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 5 minutes, breaking up beef after 3 minutes, until brown; drain.
- Stir in Sauce mix, 2 cups boiling water and uncooked Rice and Sauce Mix.
- Microwave uncovered on High 10 to 12 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until rice is tender (sauce will thicken as it stands). Dish will be hot.
- Stir 3 tablespoons milk and Topping mix in bowl 30 seconds; set aside.
- Remove dish from microwave. Pour topping* over beef mixture.
*If topping is too thick to pour, stir in an additional ½ to 1 teaspoon milk.
