1 Tbsp. milk or water
2 pieces bread
1 Tbsp. butter
Beat the egg and milk or water in a mixing bowl with a whisk. Set aside.
Place butter in a large skillet.
Heat on low just until melted.
Dip bread into egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
Drop bread into skillet and fry 1-2 minutes.
Turn with tong-turners or pancake turner.
Fry on second side 1-2 minutes.
Repeat for second piece if bread.
Serve with syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
Yield: 1 serving.
