Betty Crocker Tuna Helper – Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients:
- 2 ¾ cups hot water
- 1 cup milk
- ½ stick or ¼ cup margarine or butter
- 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained
Stove top directions:
- Stir together in 10-inch skillet:
- Hot Water
- Milk
- Margarine
- Uncooked Pasta
- Sauce
- Mix in tuna.
- Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Remove from heat and uncover (sauce will thicken as it stands).
Oven directions:
- Heat oven to 425 degrees
- Stir together in ungreased 2-quart casserole:
- 2 ½ cups boiling water
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ stick or ¼ cup margarine or butter
- 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained
- Cover and bake about 20 minutes or until pasta is tender (sauce will thicken as it stands).
- Carefully remove cover.
Microwave directions:
- Stir together in 2 ½ -quart microwavable casserole or bowl:
- 2 ¾ cups boiling water,
- 1 cup milk
- ½ stick or ¼ cup margarine or butter
- 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained
- Microwave on High 8 to 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes, until pasta is tender (sauce will thicken as it stands).
- Dish will be hot.
