Celebrate White Cane Day with TSBVI on October 16, 2024! The event will be held on the campus of the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired located at 1100 W. 45th Street, Austin, TX 78756. Parking is limited and attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, bus, or use rideshare. Join us for a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, music, food, bounce house, Bonzo the Clown, and More! White Cane Day fun walk/marches

The Texas School for Blind and Visually Impaired and Texas Workforce Commission march assembles at 8:45 a.m. Meet at one of the following locations to join the march:

  • Walgreens, 4501 Guadalupe St
  • Central Market, 4001 N. Lamar Blvd.
  • The Pit Barbecue, 4707 Burnet Road
  • Triangle Station, 47th @ W. Guadalupe

We have six hydration stations scattered throughout the central grounds. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own personal refillable water bottles to help reduce waste for our campus.
