Toileting can be a complex process for any child, but for children who are deafblind, unique considerations must be taken into account to ensure success. This session will explore practical strategies for supporting toileting in a way that is accessible, individualized, and developmentally appropriate. Participants will learn how to use routines, sensory accommodations, communication supports, and environmental modifications to help students who are deafblind develop independence in toileting. Whether you’re an educator, family member, or service provider, this session will equip you with tools to create a structured, supportive, and dignity-focused approach.

Captioning will be provided, if you need anything else, please email Kaycee Bennett. Some logistics will be different with our Coffee Hours, as compared to the past, but you can expect the same commitment to providing information, discussion, and collaboration on topics important to students who are blind, visually impaired, or Deafblind.
