Call to Order
Julie Prause, Vice President, called the October 2, 2025 Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Board of Trustees Strategic Planning Session to order at 9:12 a.m.
Introduction of Board Members and Audience
Board members present were Julie Prause, Dan Brown, Belinda Rudinger, Ernest Worthington, Beth Jones, and Brenda Lee. Present via Zoom were Lee Sonnenberg and Hillary Rodriguez. Maghan Gautney was not present.
Audience members present were Emily Coleman, Superintendent; Ann Du, CFO; Eric Grimmett, CSR Director; Eden Hagelman, STP Principal; Erica Cairns, Outreach Director; Miles Fain, Principal; Marlo Kibler, HR Director; Jenny Wells, General Counsel; Susan Houghtling, Planning and Evaluation Coordinator; Angela Wolf, Curriculum Director; Matt Schultz, Residential Director and Veronica Keating, Executive Assistant.
Strategic Planning Session: Report on Strengths and Identified Needs
Emily Coleman and the TSBVI Administration shared with the Board the identified needs and strengths of the School.
Board Team Building Session: Discussion by the Board and Staff on Strategic Planning Needs for TSBVI
The Board discussed the needs of the School with TSBVI administration.
The Board shared their gratitude for the work and dedication to students across the State of Texas.
Adjournment
Dan Brown motioned to adjourn the October 2, 2025 strategic planning session. Beth Jones seconded the motion. All members present voted unanimously in favor of passing the motion.
