Child Nutrition Services

We provide healthy and nutritious meals to all students utilizing a five-week cycle menu that meets all of the nutritional guidelines set forth by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

By-laws and Statutes

These are the by-laws and the statutes of the supporting Child Nutrition agencies:

  • USDA Food and Nutrition Service – Our mission is to increase food security and reduce hunger by providing children and low-income people access to food, a healthful diet and nutrition education in a way that supports American agriculture and inspires public confidence.
  • Square Meals – We are committed to accomplishing the educational goals and the efficient administration and operation of the Food & Nutrition Programs with the utmost professionalism.
  • TEXAS 20 Purchasing Cooperative – The TEXAS 20 Purchasing Cooperative is a dynamic group offering procurement services for your school food service program. We use the collective buying power of our members securing the best price on a variety of items. We provide training, resources and exceptional customer service to assist you in managing your procurement process.
  • Texas Department of Agriculture – The Texas Legislature established the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) in 1907. The agency’s key objectives are to promote production agriculture, consumer protection, economic development and healthy living.

Civil Rights

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

And Justice for All

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will not be taking orders for “And Justice For All…” (AJFA) posters through TX-UNPS and will not be distributing posters to contracting entities (CE). Locally printed paper copies of AJFA posters may be substituted as necessary. You can read and download the Justice for All poster from the USDA. CEs may also use the 2015 version of the AJFA poster if they are not able to print the current version.
