Selective Service Requirement
As of September 1, 1999, an agency in any branch of state government may not hire a person as an employee if the person is of the age (18-25) and gender (male), that would require a person residing in the U.S. to register with the selective service system, unless the person presents proof of the person’s registration with the selective service system as required by federal law or proof of exemption from registration with the selective service.
E-Verify
If you are hired, you will be required to submit proof of your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States within three working days of your date of employment. TSBVI participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
