Electrifying News – Women’s Equality Day
August 25, 2025

On August 26th, we celebrate Women’s Equality Day, which was designated in 1973. This day commemorates the 19th Amendment. Although voting rights for women were added to the constitution over 100 years ago, the movement began 70 years prior. As Ruth Bader Ginsburg famously said, “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.”
On Monday, we celebrate Labor Day on the earliest day possible, September 1st. Congress created the federal holiday in 1894 after many states adopted it first, honoring American workers. Due to the holiday, there will be no school Monday (or Electrifying News) and it will be a travel day for students.
Have a great week!
