Electrifying News – Winter Holidays
Our Winter Celebration for TSBVI employees will be held on Wednesday, December 21st, from 5-8pm at the Black Star Co-op. Appetizers will be provided and additional items will be available for purchase. The Jingle Bell Run is happening today in the gym, so be sure to stop by and earn those bells!
Due to the winter break, the next Electrifying News will be Monday, January 9th. The front desk area of building 600 will be closed starting Friday, December 23rd, and reopening Monday, January 9th. Employees will still have badge access to buildings as needed. As a reminder, scheduled holidays for classified staff are December 23rd, 26th, 27th, and January 2nd.
In Texas, we are all familiar with the winter holidays of Christmas and New Year’s Eve. While these holidays are celebrated in the United States, as well as all over the world, many cultures celebrate in their own way during this part of the year. TSBVI’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee provided us with a sampling of additional important festivals and holidays celebrated in America and around the globe. No matter what or where, winter holidays help us recognize our favorite things – Community, Hope, Family, Friends and Food!!!
