Electrifying News – White Cane Day!
Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We acknowledge with great respect that the land utilized by the school to empower our students is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Lipan Apache Tribe, the Comanche, the Coahuitlecan, the Tonkawa, the Jumanos and potentially other tribes not explicitly stated. We honor their legacy and culture by learning about the past and celebrating their heritage.
Wednesday is WHITE CANE DAY!!! Check your email for staff information and updates. Campus maps, program details, exhibitors, and more can be found on our events page online. I look forward to spending the day with all of you!
Don’t forget to donate by October 31st to the State Employee Charitable Campaign. Every employee who donates will be entered into a drawing for some fabulous gift baskets. You can sign-up online or by dropping off this form in the HR department.
Have a great week!
