Electrifying News – Welcome Fall!

Campus Activities Campus updates

This weekend was the autumnal equinox or the first day of fall. It may not feel like pumpkin spice, soup, and sweater weather, but a new season is upon us. Wishing everyone a cool breeze soon.

Our State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) begins October 1st. This is an exciting opportunity to give to your favorite charity or cause. If the SECC is new to you, be on the lookout for more information from HR soon on how to participate.

If you plan to attend the ERS and Texa$aver retirement presentation on October 3rd from 2-5p, please be sure to register as space is limited. The presentation will be held in the Hatlen room in Outreach Building 605.

Many new employees have expressed interest in the history of our school. TSBVI was founded in 1856, but moved to our current location in 1916. It wasn’t long ago we celebrated our 100th Anniversary on 45th Street and you can find a commemorative ten minute video by scrolling to the bottom of this page on our website.

Please remember not to pull too far forward in parking spots. TFC grounds crew politely requests you don’t cover the grass with your front bumper so they can tend to the lawn and weeds.

Have a great week!
