Electrifying News – Return from Spring Break
Welcome back after Spring Break! Apologies for the delay in posting this week’s news. Many of us are returning from a fabulous Texas AER Conference. Thanks again to the presenters and TAER board members who made it happen.
As we get back into the swing of school this week, we have many fun events to look forward to in April and May. The Semi-Modulars will be performing next Tuesday, April 1st, at Billy’s on Burnet at 6:30p. On Thursday, April 3rd, our students will be celebrating Prom. The Board of Trustees will be meeting on Friday, April 4th.
On Monday, March 31st, school is closed to recognize Cesar Chavez Day. Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American civil rights and labor movement leader. His actions led to better treatment and higher wages for farm laborers across the country. He famously led with his heart and mind and said, “The fight was never about grapes and lettuce. It was always about people.” Monday isn’t a state holiday, but It will be a travel day and non-school day for students.
Have a great week!
