Electrifying News – WCD Shirts for Staff!
Wednesday, August 26th, is Women’s Equality Day. This day recognizes the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. As we have an election coming up this fall, be sure to get registered! To find out more, you can check out the League of Women Voters of Texas for nonpartisan election information.
Thursday, August 27th, is Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) Day, a Texas holiday celebrating his birthday. He is recognized for signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 while serving as President of the United States. As we will have students on campus Thursday, this will be a working holiday for TSBVI staff. Please be sure to document your time accordingly in CAPPS.
The White Cane Day shirts are officially available for staff to order! Please check your emails for a message from Diane Broadway with instructions. The deadline to purchase is Thursday, September 3rd. This year’s shirt will be utilizing artwork from TSBVI Alum, Marianela O.
