Electrifying News – USABA National High School Goalball Championships
What a busy week we’re going to have at TSBVI! It’s Spirit Week with today being “dress like a grandparent” day, tomorrow is for costumes, Wednesday is “dress like your favorite musician” or wear concert swag, Thursday is pajama day, and Friday is for TSBVI spirit wear. Tomorrow we also have numerous Halloween events across campus. You can listen to scary stories in the Rec from 8:45 – 10:30, check out “Trunk or Treat” with the Delta Gammas from 4 – 5, or stop by the Halloween party tomorrow night after 5 in the Rec or Quad.
We’re also hosting the USABA National High School Goalball Championships Thursday afternoon through Saturday. The livestream on Thursday and Friday will be delivered via facebook and Saturday’s will be streamed via the TSBVI site. The Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals will all take place Saturday starting at 9 am and expected to end by 7 pm.
TSBVI Outreach is hosting the Southwest Orientation and Mobility Association (SWOMA) online conference this weekend, which is a massive endeavor. Also, many of our students will be traveling to Houston to attend the NFB of Texas annual state conference. We appreciate our mentoring partnership with NFB, which provides this opportunity for students.
Finally, I wanted to thank classified and contract staff who participated in giving feedback on the employee engagement survey which closed 10/20/2023. We had a 75.4% response rate (up from 73% in 2021). We expect to get results in November, so with the winter break, we will plan to roll out more information in the new year. Thanks for sharing your Wildcat Wisdom!
Have a great week!
