Electrifying News – Upcoming Board Meetings
Welcome back to campus for most of our staff! Many departments have their own schedules for training this week and I look forward to running into you on campus. Our official all-campus “Welcome Back” will be on Monday, August 12th from 10-11a in the Cafeteria. (This is a change from the usual 8-9a.) We will have donuts and coffee available for a meet and greet from 8-8:30a in the Cafeteria and grab-and-go lunch from 12 – 1p, too.
Summer facility projects are wrapping up, but be cautious of cones and closed sidewalks across campus. The front doors of Building 600 will now be permanently locked, so please see previous emails about access if you have any questions. As you all know by now, we have new wifi, new phone software, a renovated Campus Info website, and new locks throughout campus. Thanks to all of our staff who made these big changes possible and please be patient as we adjust to new systems.
On Thursday, the TSBVI Board will be meeting to orient new Board Member, Hillary Rodriguez, to her position and our community. Welcome, Hillary! We’ll also have our Summer Safety and Security Meeting at 2:00p in the Boardroom of Building 600. On Friday, the TSBVI Board will be meeting at 8:00a in the Boardroom to approve our annual budget and our Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR). You can view the agenda online and log-in via zoom to attend any portion of the meetings.
Be sure to complete those Bridge trainings as our excitement builds for new students and a new school year. One of the great things about working for a school is the annual cycle allows for a fresh beginning every August. Let’s be sure to take advantage and make the most of it.
