Campus Activities Board Meeting Empower Campus updates

Congrats to TSBVI wrestlers for their 3rd place finish and many individual medals! The cheerleaders and performing arts crew were also recognized and brought their A game. We had an excellent trip to the Alabama School for the Blind for SCASB and we will be hosting the track and goalball competition in April. I hope most of you can check it out!

The Paw Print is a publication created by Jennifer Hysaw, Dorm Manager and Itza Perez, Residential Instructor. The Paw Print contains images and text descriptions of student activity, engagement and empowerment that takes place in our dorms, on our campus and in the community during the evening hours each school year. These images and text descriptions, with contributions from all areas of the department, highlight moments of student learning, exploration and fun. They also serve as a way for staff to share ideas and motivation in our pursuit to provide meaningful and creative learning opportunities for each of our students. Check out the 5th Edition from Fall 2022.

As a reminder, the Sunshine vehicle gate will no longer be open as of February 6th and the pedestrian gate will be kept locked. Staff can review an email from Stacy Correa for more information. In related news, we continue to work on finishing up the gate projects tied to our new fences. We appreciate your patience until construction is complete.

Finally, we have some cold weather in our area this week and will be monitoring road conditions in partnership with our community liaisons. We will provide updates to staff, students, and families via email and emergency notifications if necessary.

Have a great week!
