Electrifying News – Thank You Veterans!

Our TSBVI Girls and Boys Goalball Teams both earned second place at the US National High School Goalball Championships this weekend at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. We also had one player from each team recognized individually by making the All American Team. We are proud of their hard work and achievements!

Yesterday through tomorrow the TSBVI Outreach team is putting on the Southwest Orientation and Mobility Association conference in Round Rock. Many of our Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS) are in attendance. Topics cross the spectrum of students we serve and we’re grateful for professional development provided by our Outreach program.

TSBVI is hosting Family Day on Saturday for our Comprehensive Program students. Families were required to RSVP in advance and we look forward to welcoming them on campus to discuss their student’s educational programs. Also this weekend is the National Federation of the Blind Texas State Convention in Houston. TSBVI will have staff and students in attendance there as well.

Veterans Day will be celebrated by our state and country on Friday, November 11th. Please take time to offer recognition and respect to those who have served within the military on our behalf. Thank you to each and every TSBVI employee who has served the United States of America. You are an invaluable member of our community.

Have a great week!
