Electrifying News – Start with Hello Week
This morning we heard speeches from students running for Student Council leadership. Craig Edgley kicked them off by discussing the importance of democracy and having student voices within decision making and planning at TSBVI. Students running for President, Vice President, and Treasurer shared ideas for fundraising, potential new events, and ways they can be open minded and support each other. Go Wildcats!
TSBVI is celebrating “Start with Hello Week” empowering students to support inclusion and a sense of belonging within our community. A photo booth will be set-up in the cafeteria today during lunch, student events will be happening all week, and student “Start with Hello” artwork will be shown around campus on Friday. TSBVI continues to prioritize mental health and wellness for all.
Our Board of Trustees will be meeting on campus this week and the agenda will be posted online. They’ll kick off with Strategic Planning followed by a Goalball activity Thursday afternoon. The regular meeting will begin at 10:15 am on Friday in the Boardroom in Building 600 and Zoom will also be available. Nine of our students will be recognized for their achievements related to STAAR testing and Dr. Elina Mullen will be celebrated for her retirement.
