Campus Activities Staff Recognition Campus updates

TSBVI’s claim to fame last week was the KUT story about Renee, Roger, and Mason Toy. It was a wonderful take on working within the TSBVI community and I appreciated a chance to highlight positions open here on campus. If you missed it, you can listen to the story or read the article on the KUT website.

Speaking of Mason, we were grateful when he brought an unauthorized visitor to the switchboard last week who needed assistance. Please remember to look for badges and offer your help or escort if somebody needs to check in. In addition, some of our doors that automatically close have been slow to latch due to HVAC issues. Please make sure doors close behind you and pull them shut if needed. Work orders are being submitted when problems areas are noticed.

This year’s first School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meeting will be held today at 5:00 pm. In related news, we’re celebrating “Start with Hello” week on campus to support social emotional learning. The purpose is to support meaningful relationships and interactions between students and create a stronger sense of belonging at TSBVI.

The Wildcat Coffee Shop is back in business! I picked up two oat milk lattes this morning myself. They’ll be open Monday – Thursday from 8:50 – 10:15am and Wednesday from 1:05 – 2pm. Ordering is quick and easy online.

Have a great week!
