Electrifying News – Soccer Pitch Podcast
Our last episode of A Sense of Texas for the 25-26 school year was all about our new soccer pitch and audio from the ribbon cutting event. If you weren’t able to make it to the field for the pitch opening, you’ll definitely want to take a listen online.
The American Printing House for the Blind has developed a free resource online to make embossable word searches. Once created, the word searches can be printed on a braille embosser or downloaded onto the Monarch for those students who have one. You can check it out online.
As a reminder, HHSC is hosting an event to celebrate Deafblind Awareness Week on June 24th from 9:30am – Noon with an art show, presentation, and demonstration. The event will take place at the HHSC North Austin Complex at 4601 W. Guadalupe St.
Also another reminder, the National Federation of the Blind is holding their National Convention in Austin this summer from July 3rd – 8th. Their agenda and FAQs are available online with on-site registration available if you decide to check it out. It’s an incredibly affordable event with a $10 virtual option as well.
