Electrifying News – Soccer Pitch Grand Opening
Congratulations to the TSBVI Boys who placed 1st in the SCASB track meet this weekend and the TSBVI Girls who placed 2nd! We had many individual awards and as usual I was incredibly proud of our students and staff. In addition, the TSBVI Drumline had their first performance and they were excellent!!!
On Wednesday, we still plan to have our blind soccer pitch ribbon cutting with festivities starting at 3:45p at the field by the business office. If weather ends up impacting the event, the campus will be notified. Our own alumni and US Paralympic athlete, Ricky Castaneda, will be leading a clinic with student players. Please wear TSBVI swag Wednesday to show our school spirit! The wall panels were installed today and we appreciate the help of TFC staff unloading and assembling. Rain or shine, we’re getting this field in place. (UPDATE: Pitch opening postponed to May 5th due to weather!)
This weekend, TSBVI swimmers will be attending a meet at the Ohio School for the Blind. On Saturday, the TSBVI Dragonboat team will be participating in the festival at Festival Beach, Lady Bird Lake, 2101 Bergman Street, Austin, TX. Best of luck to all the water sports!
