Happy Mothers’ Day to all of the Moms! I hope you were able to enjoy time with family celebrating the amazing women that have made a difference in your life. Also, join us today for Staff Appreciation in the Pavillion from 2-4p! We’ll make sure we get some treats to our overnight staff, too. TSBVI is 24-7 and we’re grateful for employees that are willing to cover all the shifts.
TSBVI is pleased to host The Magical Experiences Arts Company (MEAC) on campus through Friday, May 15. This year marks a significant milestone as MEAC, led by Joanne Margolies, celebrates 40 years of creating immersive art and more than a decade of partnership with TSBVI. This year’s multisensory productions, On a Wing & a Prayer and The Kindness of Ravens, offer interactive and accessible opportunities for all students to engage in creative expression. We are proud to continue this long-standing tradition of inclusive theater.
May 14-16 TSBVI hosts the school play “Little Mermaid Jr” Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Here is the streaming information for the Friday night show of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” at 7 p.m. It’s a one time stream and if you miss it, you can’t see a recording according to our license.

On Saturday, May 16th, the Semi-modulars will be performing in Liberty Hill at 6:00p at the Whimsy and Wonder Festival. Last week, the Mayor proclaimed May 7th, 2026 “Semi-Modulars Day” and the students were recognized at City Hall!
This morning, May 11th, TSBVI was invited to testify on the “State of Education” at an Interim Public Education House Committee hearing. The hearing starts at 10:00a with many agencies invited. Although we’re unsure what time I will be testifying, the livestream can be found here.
