Electrifying News – Holidays Around the World
Welcome back from the holiday break. While recognizing things I’m grateful for over Thanksgiving, the TSBVI Community remains near the top of the list. We’re so lucky to have meaningful work contributing to the success of students in Austin and across Texas. I’m grateful for each of you and that I get to be part of the many ways you empower students.
Unbelievable as it may seem, summer will be here before we know it! Now is the time to consider if you might want to join STP for some fun in the sun! Short-Term Programs is looking for teachers to work this summer. If you are interested, you can choose to work anything from one week to four weeks. Be on the lookout for an email from Dr. Eden Hagelman in the new year asking if you would like to work this summer. In the meantime, check out the Summer programs, to get a preview of the kinds of engaging and fun programs we had last summer.
Holiday events will be abundant this month and the first activity is from 8:45 – 10:30 on Friday, December 6th. Stop by the foyer of Building 606 to learn more about “Holidays Around the World.”
Good luck to students competing in the USABA National High School Goalball Finals this weekend at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Thanks to coaches and staff who will be attending, too. I have no doubt you’ll represent TSBVI well and we look forward to hearing about your wins. Goalball is life!
Have a great week,
Emily Coleman, Superintendent
