Electrifying News – Happy Birthday Anne Sullivan Macy!
On Tuesday at 7:00pm Family Lynx will be holding their monthly meeting in Zoom. Come and listen to an alumni panel composed of former TSBVI students. They will share their experiences at TSBVI, how the school helped them to be successful, and where they are now.
Also on Tuesday, Waymo will be on campus showcasing their driverless car. In the morning, visitors from the public will be attending a presentation along with TSBVI’s adult students. After lunch, younger students will have an opportunity to check it out. The event will take place behind Building 605 in the Pavilion with parking impacted throughout the day. An email with parking specifics has been shared by Stacy Correa.
Waterproofing is wrapping up on building 600 and they are now working on building 606. We will continue to have sidewalks blocked as needed to complete this work. We regret the inconvenience to students and staff.
Friday, April 14th, is Anne Sullivan Macy’s birthday. She is best known for being Helen Keller’s teacher and lifelong companion. Anne had low vision herself and was a graduate of the Perkins School for the Blind. Happy Birthday, Anne!
