Electrifying News – Halloween and Dios de los Muertos

Campus Activities Campus updates

Happy Halloween, TSBVI! I’ve enjoyed seeing the costumes, listening to our students’ spooky stories, eating pizza and candy, and celebrating with you all. Looking forward to the additional parties happening on campus this evening, including Trunk or Treat with the Delta Gamma volunteers at 4:00pm.

Tomorrow and Wednesday, we celebrate Dios de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Our community has created an ofrenda, or altar, built to remember lost loved ones in the Overlook Room on the second floor of Building 600. All members of the TSBVI community are invited to add items of their own.

Magical Experience Art Company has returned! Joanne Margolius is a performer with a long history of performing for students with multiple disabilities. Joanne will be here Oct. 31- Nov 14. She will have 2 performances per day and each week will be a separate play. Performances will happen at 9:40am (M-F), 1:10pm (M-Th), and 12:15pm (F) in the dance room in the big gym.

On Thursday and Friday, contractors will be working in the building 600 parking lot running electrical wiring to the new gate on the southeast side of campus. Access to the campus entrance on 45th closest to Lamar may be impeded during those days.

Have a great week!
