Family Lynx Campus updates Podcast outreach

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11th, 2001, designated “Patriot Day” by the federal government. Flags will be flown at half-staff to honor their memory.

Tomorrow at 7pm is our first Family Lynx meeting of the year on Zoom. Families and staff are welcome to participate. Lynx Leaders Amy Potts and Barbara Knighton will be speaking about the importance of family/parental involvement and opportunities available through the Family Lynx organization. Principal Miles Fain will review and seek input about the TSBVI Title I Program Plan and the TSBVI Parent/Family Involvement Plan and additional ways to get involved with the school.

TSBVI Outreach has released a couple great resources in the past two weeks. First, the Texas Senseabilities Special Issue on Family Engagement is now available. Second, the latest A Sense of Texas podcast episode highlights the 2023 Braille Challenge Finals and the success of three Texas competitors.

This weekend, the Deafblind Multi-Handicapped Association of Texas (DBMAT) will be holding their annual Fall Camp on our campus. Thanks to staff assisting with this event and helping them celebrate their 50th Anniversary!

Have a great week!
