Electrifying News – Family Day on Saturday
Tomorrow, we celebrate Veterans Day, honoring those who have served in our Armed Forces. TSBVI is greatly appreciative of our employees and their family members who are Veterans, and we thank you for your service.
It’s a busy week on campus! On Wednesday, we host the Texas Action Committee for the Education of Students with Visual Impairment. On Thursday, we host the Personnel Preparation Advisory Group. Both meetings are a statewide gathering of stakeholders committed to improving educational services for students who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision.
On Thursday and Friday, we will be hosting an outside group called the Blind Traveler’s Summit. There will be many guests and visitors on campus during those two days, meeting in the Building 605 Conference Center. Please expect increased traffic on campus as industry leaders meet with individuals who are blind to improve access to travel for all.
On Wednesday, the Farmers Market will be back! Also, on Wednesday, students on campus will be competing in a triathlon from 4:20 to 5:30 p.m. Please see an email from Diane Broadway regarding route closures and more.
Saturday is Family Day! Thanks to everyone working this weekend to welcome students and their families. It’s one of the most important days of our year.
Have a great week!
