Electrifying News – Deafblind Symposium
The Sunshine Community Garden will be having their spring plant sale on Saturday, March 4th. They welcome any and all to stop by. Jump Rope for Heart will be March 9th and everyone is invited to come and move, dance, and jump for heart health from 2:30 – 3:45 in the gym.
As a reminder, this morning TSBVI will be discussed by the House Appropriations Committee at 9 am followed by the Texas School for the Deaf and TEA. You can watch the Committee meeting live. This will probably be the last time we’re invited to testify during the current legislative session unless new questions arise.
Congratulations to Outreach and specifically the Texas Deafblind Project for pulling off a very successful Symposium. The final general session presented by Maurice Belote provided me with many “ah-ha” moments. One was regarding ambiguity and the impact it has on stress in our lives. To avoid excess stress, let’s all try to be better communicators with our students and each other. It remains a constant goal for me.
