Electrifying News – Congrats EmmaGrace!
Congratulations to EmmaGrace O. for winning Varsity 2nd Place at the Braille Challenge Finals! Her hard work has clearly paid off. Thanks to EmmaGrace and the other competitors from Texas for representing us so well.
This is the last week of Summer Programs at TSBVI! It’s been great seeing student adventure and learning in action and I appreciate all the staff working round-the-clock to make it happen. After Friday, students won’t be on campus again until Comp Programs Registration on Sunday, August 17th.
New teacher orientation starts Monday, July 28th. Many other staff and additional new employees will return on Monday, August 4th. August 11th will be the official “Welcome Back” for all staff going into a new school year. There will be coffee and treats in the cafeteria on Monday and Friday morning of that week and “grab-n-go” boxed lunches on Monday, too. More details to come when we get closer.
On Friday, we celebrate the 4th of July, which recognizes the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by Congress in 1776. Wishing everyone a safe holiday and safe travel for our summer students as they head home. Due to the summer hiatus, the next Electrifying News will be August 4th.
