Electrifying News – Congrats 2026 Graduates!
Thank you to all staff who are working today, Memorial Day, as we have school in session and students on campus. I hope you can still take time to reflect on and honor the men and women who have lost their lives in service to our country. Many of us think about our lost loved ones on this day, and I wish you all peace and comfort as you honor them, too.
We’ve made it to the last week of the 25-26 school year! How?!? The last day of classes will be Thursday, May 28th, with dismissal at 12:15 p.m. Graduation will be on the same day from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Goodenough Auditorium with a reception to follow from 3:00-4:00 p.m. You can also catch the livestream online.
Friday, the TSBVI Board of Trustees will be meeting at 10:15 a.m. in the Boardroom of Building 600, with committees starting at 8:00 a.m. We’ll be recognizing our retirees as well as conducting regular business. Please find the full agenda online.
Recently, Waymo was on campus with some local news media. Marcus Cardwell and I were able to share our perspective, and you can read about it online at Community Impact. Marcus was also heavily featured in a CBS news story that was aired nationwide!
The first summer school registration event will be held Sunday, June 7th, followed by four full weeks of summer programming. Next week, many have time off, but some will also be prepping for the summer events. There will be no Electrifying News next Monday.
Have a great week!
