Electrifying News – Start With Hello Week
“Start with Hello” Week kicks off today at TSBVI promoting compassion and connectedness within our school community. Building positive relationships is a cornerstone of our work at TSBVI. Although we foster such endeavors daily, we get to specifically celebrate those efforts this week.
The Wildcat Coffee Shop is now open! Coffee can be purchased at the Coffee Shop in building 607 or here on our website from 9:15am – 10:45am Monday – Thursday. They even have pistachio flavor now, which is my favorite! There are also four carafes of coffee distributed Monday-Thursday by student workers. This coffee is for faculty and staff only-no students, please. These carafes are in buildings 600, 607, 608, and 610.
Also only for staff are the items on the Sunshine Cart, which is brought around campus a couple times a week to provide a quick treat or snack for our dedicated team. The snacks do not follow guidelines set for student nutrition and are purchased with staff appreciation funds, so please be sure to locate snacks for students elsewhere when needed.
Today marks the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, which encompasses other related holidays, including Mexican Independence Day celebrated tomorrow. There are many events in the area with a plethora of offerings from the Austin Public Library. We celebrate the history and culture of the Hispanic community and the benefits and gifts they bring to our lives and school.
Have a great week!
