Electrifying News – A Sense of Texas Hits 100th Episode!!!
For those of you who missed the Goalball tournament one month ago, you can catch a great podcast episode about the event and the final games. Students and staff were highlighted in this 100th episode of A Sense of Texas. Thanks to TSBVI Outreach for producing and directing our podcast for the past five and a half years. With over 40,000 downloads, you are clearly doing excellent work!
Speaking of Outreach, they will be hosting the Mentor Training this week on Friday and Saturday. New Texas educators in our field are required to have mentors when they start working with students and our staff prepare mentors to take on this important role. This is another excellent example of how TSBVI serves all 11,000 students identified as blind, deafblind, or having low vision across Texas.
Family Lynx will be hosting their annual holiday hangout in Zoom next Tuesday, December 12th, at 7:00 pm. They invite you to come and share what you enjoy most about the holidays. Maybe a favorite tradition, special ornament, recipe or place. Or just sit back, relax and enjoy the festivities.
Many of our employees observe religious holidays during the month of December. This includes Hanukkah December 7th – December 15th, Our Lady of Guadalupe December 12th, Christmas December 25th, and Kwanzaa December 26th – January 1st among others I’m sure. We wish you happiness during this important season for you and your families.
Have a great week!
