Electrifying News: Fiesta this Week
Fiesta is on Wednesday, May 18! Lunch will be served from 11:15 – 2:00 at $4 per person. The menu includes beef/ chicken fajitas, pinto beans, spanish rice, guacamole, fresh salsa, fresh tortillas, vegetarian options, assorted ice cream with toppings, and Aquas Frescas served outdoors by farm-to-table students. Other activities include music, dancing, a Grito contest at 12:30, pinatas at 1:00, and cascarones at 1:30.
We have many student activities to enjoy this week. The Semi-modulars will be performing on Tuesday, May 17, at Billy’s on Burnet at 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 18, at Cherrywood Coffeehouse at 6 p.m. The last Farmer’s Market of the year will be Thursday from 1-2 p.m. in the Rec center. On Friday, The Big Show is back in the auditorium and online from 9:45 – 11:30.
You’ve likely noticed campus projects in action, including the replacement of our perimeter fence. As previously shared, this funding was made available due to a grant from the Governor’s office specific to safety and security. We need to store fencing parts around campus while the installation takes place, but we’ll try to use as few parking spots as possible, knowing spots can be hard to find.
Have a great week!
