Electrifying News: Summer Programs Start
We have our first group of summer students on campus! About 30 students will be with us for four weeks within our SWEAT and WALIC programs. About 50 other students joined us yesterday, too, and will be heading home on Friday. On June 19, 26, and July 3 we will host additional registrations for about 50 students a week, staying for one week at a time. We’re planning to host a little over 230 students this summer!
One of our school-year students, Zach LaViola, recently participated at the UIL State Solo Performance Contest in Austin. He was awarded a Silver medal for his outstanding performance of the first movement of Beethoven’s Tempest Sonata on piano. Congrats to Zach!
The Austin Police Department will be conducting a training drill on our campus Friday, July 15. More information to come, but if you’re scheduled to work that day, please plan to work remotely. We welcome opportunities to work with APD for the safety of our students and staff.
Have a great week!
