  2. Menu bar - Appears beneath the Title bar, spans the width of the window, and lists the menus you can use to work with HPR 3.0, such as File, Edit, and Read.
  3. Tool bar - Appears beneath the Menu bar and spans the width of the window. It shows icons for the various browser tools you can use to work with HPR 3.0, for example: Back, Forward, Stop, and Refresh. As this tool bar is accessible by mouse only, each of these tools' functions is also represented in the HPR 3.0 menus.
  4. Address bar - Appears under the tool bar for the width of the window. It provides a place for you to specify a new Web page address to open. Use F6 to move the focus here. Then, use the HPR 3.0 editing keys to enter the Web page's U R L (also heard as URL), or choose an U R L from the listing of previously visited Web pages using the Up and Down Arrows. Press Enter to activate the selected U R L. You can also use the Address bar to open a file that is on your computer and search the current Web page or the World Wide Web.
  5. Main Client area - Displayed as the large middle portion of the window. It divides Home Page Reader's work area into 4 sections:
    1. History List view - Appears as the left pane spanning the height of the Main Client Area. It displays pages you've visited. You can choose to hide or display this view. And, you can set up how many days of "visited Web pages" you want shown or clear the list entirely.
    2. Graphics view - The largest of the Main Client Area panes. It displays the actual Web page content with graphics.
    3. Text view - Appears below the graphics view. This pane shows the Home Page Reader rendering of the current Web page with text only. Graphics are represented by their Alt text descriptions. This is the area you'll use most for reading. You can hide or display this view.
    4. Information view - Appears below the text view and spans the width of the window. This view gives Where Am I?, page summary, and error and informational messages. When you move the focus here, the information is automatically read. You can have HPR 3.0 hide or display this view.
  6. Status bar - Appears at the bottom of the window. It spans the width of the window and shows the current U R L, Web page loading status, and help information for the HPR 3.0 menus. To hear status bar information, press Control + Shift + F1.

To move the focus between the Menu and the current view in the Main Client area, use the Alt or F10 key.

The F6 key will move the focus in a cyclical order between the Address bar, history list view, information view, graphics view, and text view. Shift + F6 moves your focus to the previous view in the cycle. When a Web page is first loaded, the focus is in the text view. Press Control + F6 to hear the view that has the focus and the current reading mode.

To show or hide these views, use the View menu, Show submenu. If you choose to hide a view, it is taken out of the cycle for the F6 key which moves the focus to only the views that are visible.

Note: The focus will not go to the title bar and the status bar, but you can get the information from them. Use the Page Summary key, Control + F1, to hear the page title. Use the Read Status Bar key, Control + Shift + F1, for status bar information.
