Carla's Awsome Page

I will start a story of a 15 year old child who was born under the sign of Sagiterious. That same child will continue her own story as her life goes on. Her mother delivered on December. 8th, 1983 in San Antonio Texas in a hospital called the Medical Center. The doctors were excited when she came out because she was coming out fine, but when almost out of her mother's stomach she got stuck. The doctors began to get worried, but finally she came out. They quickly noticed that she came out blue so the doctors rushed her to the emergency room. Many doctors came to see and wanted to operate on her, but because she was a baby they thought it would be too dangerous.

She was taken home after two weeks in the hospital and had just made it for Christmas, but when she was taken back to be checked on, doctors noticed that her heart was enlarged. The first doctor who operated on her, a Cardiac named Dr. Parks operated on her and she came out fine according to all the other doctors. Her father named her Carla and now she will tell her story as she believe it to be:

At three months old I was taken to the hospital where I had my first operation on the heart. A Neuro-surgeon by the name of Dr. Marlin, was the one who operated on my brain by placing a metal plate inside my head. I could have died if he was not around because no one else did anything. I was finally released after a few weeks and was being examined to be sure if I had any disabilities. They stopped after a while noticing that I was doing everything at the right time.

My mother then had another child about 14 months after I was born. At that time I lived in a poor neighborhood near a very poor school, so my mother did not want me to go to school, instead I learned by her. My father worked at an airforce base, but when I was around six years old, he lost his job so I moved to Mexico. My father was from Mexico so I had a lot of family there. I lived with my aunt for a while until I found a house. After a few months of living with my aunt, I moved to a small town five minutes away from my aunt and about ten minutes away from the city of Mexico.

When I was living there for a while, my mother put my brother in school, but left me home. One day when I was working on some math problems, I saw this large, white face go past my window, so I ran out side to see what it was. When I got outside I saw a dog standing by my father, so quickly gave him water. The dog was named Happy because he was very joyful. Happy was a mix between a German Shepherd and an Alaskan Husky. He was the best dog I ever had. When I got him he was about three months old and had a dark gray spot on his back with the rest of the body white. His fur was so soft and he had so much that any other dog that might want to fight him would probably not be able to attack his neck. Happy was not an aggressive dog, but if he were to be attacked, he would fight back.

After about a year living in Mexico I was put into a private school. The school was located in the mountains called El Desierto De Los Leones. The school included Kindergarden, Elementery, Middle school, and High school. The name of the school was El Campestre and I was taught both in English and Spanish. In spanish I learned history, science, and math and in English I learned gramer and cursive.

While I was in Mexico one year, I took a trip to Guatemala to visit my grandfather and some of my other family. The name of the town where my grandfather lived was called Retaleo. In the town it was extremelly hot, but in the city of Guatemala it was not cool. We visited volcanoes that have never erupted and were located near the house of my family, and buildings that were destroyed because of an eruption of a volcano.

In the spring of 1993 in Mexico, my brother and I got two new dogs. They were the pups of the girl dog that mated with Happy. About two mounth later we took a visit to the United States, but at the last minute my father decided to start living here again. I began 4th grade in San Antonio in a school called Camelot. I had no friends for the time that I was going to that school because everyone made fun of me. In that school I was also getting very bad grades and I almost did not past 4th grade.

After a few weeks living in my new house a cat began coming to my house so Istarted to feed her. As the years went on, that cat kept on having kittens and kittens until she could not handle any more so so disappeared on June 8, 1997, but her children stayed with me.

Finally, I moved again to another part of the district and began 6th grade. There I was very surprized because I had so many friends on the first day and I was doing ok in school. It was the best thing that happened to me since I have been back from Mexico until the trip to New York.

That summer my grandmother, mother, brother, and I took a trip to New York on train. It was the most awsome place I have been in years. We were there for 6 weeks and we went everywhere in New York City. We rode the subway, went up the Statue of Liberty, and walked to places that I would never have dreamed of going.

In 7th grade I was really doing good on my work because I went through the whole year with getting only A's and B's and no C's on my report card. It was also my first time to play on a basketball team. I was not on the best team, but I was close to being the best player on the team. At the end of this year I got a dog.

I have not had a dog in more than five years and I really wanted him. He was a labredor and was named Ruffy. He was apure yellow lab that loves being around people. I believe that he was born with a ball in his mouth because he will not go anywhere with a ball.

In 8th grade it was the first time I ever got straight A;s. I did not get them all year, but I got them two times. Now I am here today and I will be moving again somewhere in the middle of nowhere and go to a high school with only 250 students. I really do not want to go to that school, but I am forced to go.

Animals

I have had many different pets in my childhood life. They were either cats or dogs, but I have had many of them. It all started when I lived in Mexico. The first pet that I have ever had was the largest dog that I ever had. He was an Alaskan Husky mixed with a German Shepered. I got him when he was 3 mounth old. His birthday was March 31 and  his name was Happy. I would always play with him, but because there were so many dogs in the street Happy would always run out nomatter how strong the gate was. When Happy was hungry or hurt he would always come back, but later go out again.

After a year of having Happy, two cats started to come to my yard so we would give them milk and food, but because those cats were wild, they went when ever they wanted. One of the cats was named Max who was a white cat with pink eyes, and a cat named blackpaw who was kind of a blackish brown cat.

Max would stay with us more than Blackpaw, but they were both cats that did not always let me pet them. Happy loved chasing both cats when he would come home.

One day I decided to get Happy to mate, but he never fell in love until my neighboor got a dog. That dog would always jump over her gate so that she could be together. Her name was Bonny and after my dog and her got together she had 9 puppies and out of those pups I was given two. They were born on December 11 and I will and given to me in February. They were both female, one named Mandy and the other one named Pandy. I do not really know why I named Mandy Mandy, but the reason Pandy was named Pandy is that she was kind of chubby. I did not have them that long because I was coming to live in the United States.

About a year living here, a cat began coming to my yard so I started to feed her. She was named Miawmiaw and stayed with us for 4 years then ran away. During those four years she had a total of 11 children.

Her first litter was on April 15 were she had three kittens. One of the kittens died the second day of birth, but was named Runaway. The other two cats stayed with us and were both males. One of the cats which was blond with brown stripes was named Tigger and the other cat who was gray with black, white, brown, and orange stripes was named Bear. About two weeks after tey were born I moved to another house and Tigger disapeared. Bear stayed with us for about one and a half years, but he disapeared too.

The next year on July 29 Miawmiaw had another litter. This time she had five kittens and all of them survived birth. Three of them were girls and the rest were boys. The three girls were Shadow, Cross, and Chance. Chance looked just like bear exept the only colored stripes she did not have was blond and orange. Shadow was gray all over and was very shy. Cross was the most colorful cat I ever had. She had all the colors of the rainbow. The two boys were Panther and Garfield. Garfield looked exactly like Tigger and was the first cat that I had to give away. Panther was the second cat that I had to give away along with Shadow. He was black exept on his belly. He was also my favorite because he would fall asleep in my arms.

Later down the line, Cross was the first cat from Miawmiaw that had a litter. I will never forget the day she had her kittens because she had them on May 18 which is the day of my father's birthday. Cross had four kittens and all of them survived birth, but a week later Cross got sick and died so I had to give the kittens away.

The next year on April 21 Miawmiaw had another litter. That time she had three kittens who were all boys. Their names were Graymoss, Oreo, and Cameo. Camio looked like a Siameas cat. Graymoss looked just like Cameo, but a little lighter. Oreo was a little fur ball. They were given away too. The next cat from Miawmiaw that had a litter was Chance. She had three kittens, but I did not see them until 6 weeks later because I was on the train to New York on June 8th, same day they were born. All three of them survived birth and in that litter was two boys named Cuddles and Dimondback and a girl named Tar. Tar was the first cat that I had that was completely black. Cuddles looked just like Tigger and Garfield. Dimondback was like a brownish gray and wore a blond dimond on his back. Dimondback disapeared about two year after his birth and Tar died when she was pregnit.

About a mounth before Dimondback disapeared I got a dog who's name is Ruffy. About a year later Cuddles died from a snake bite and the generation of Miawmiaw disapeared. We later found out that the reason my cats were disapearing is that our neighboor fed them poison.

Ruffy has been with us about a year and still nothing bad has happened to him. My mother says that when I move Ruffy will come with me, I will start a new generation of cats, and I will start a generation of rabbits.

Hobbies

One of my favorite hobbies is to sing because all my life I have listened to music and picked it up very fast. I always sang when I was board or just doing something in my room. I have always enjoyed music and I will probably never stop listening to music. When I was in 5th grade I learned to play the cello and I kept it up for four years. I cannot play the cello any more because at the high school that I would be going to does not have an Orchestra. When I was in 7th grade I got a keyboard and strted transcribing music from Orchestra on to the keyboard. I have always wanted to learn how to play the quatar and my mother said that maby next year I would get one.

Another one of my favorite hobbies is playing sports. I could probably play any sport if I wanted, but my favorite sport is basketball.

It all started on a bright, sunny day when I was with my friend in Mexico. It was time for reaces and my friend and I decided to ask the coach for a basketball, so he gave us one and we walked to the court. Neither of us knew at the time how to play, but we just threw the ball in the air trying to play basketball. As my friend was improving, but I still had not made one shot, I asked her for the ball so I could try to make atleast one shot. When she gave it to me I turned atound backwards and shot. That ball went in and that was the day that I fell in love with basketball. Ever since then I I played basketball and improved as the years went on.

The next hobby that I tell you about is swimming. Ever since I lived in Mexico I would always see my cousin learn how to swim, so I decided to learn how to swim. I went through two swimming instructors to find the right one. I learned how to swim pretty quick and soon enough I was in competitions. The first metal that I ever won in swimming was in seccond place. That day I felt so good because it was the first time I ever won a metal that was solid and was given to you like if you were in the Olympics. When I came back to the United States I continued swimming, bu I just receved ribbons. I do not swim any more, bu I do expect that I will start swimming one day.

The last hobby that I will tell you about is going hiking. Ever since Mexico I would always go hiking in the mountains. Sometimes I would ride a horse through the mountains, but most of the time I would go on foot. Going hiking was one of the best adventures that I ever had. The reason I like going hiking so much is that I always have loved being outdoors. In Mexico I would always go in volcanoes. One time I went to this volcano where there was a lake growing in it almost frozen. Those were the days of the real adventures.

Places

In my life I have moved several times and visited a lot of places. The first home where I actually lived was in San Antonio Texas in a district called the Northside in a house on a street called Lee Hall. The house had two bedrooms, one bathroom, one kitchen, and a linenroom. We were living in a poor neighborhood were there was a lot of crime at the time. When my brother was born I went to Sonora. I lived by the beach were my brother's godparents live. After that I met up with my father's family and I went to California, but I was so young so I do not remember anything.  After 6 years of living there my father lost his job so we decided to go and live in Mexico with my father's family. During the first summer of living there I took a trip to Guatemala and spent there three months with my grandfather and his family. My grandfather's house was located in a small town called Retauleo which was extremely hot. By my grandfather's house and his family’s house there was a volcano that had not erupted yet, but was showing some sparks. While I was living there I visited a town called Lago De Aticlan. I spent about three days in a log cabin which was located by the side of a lake where a volcano appeared over the lake that had never erupted. It was a very small town, but it was a very loving town. In Guatemala I also visited the city where there were many old stone buildings that there ruff was cut off because of a volcano. Back in Mexico, I went to many places. I lived near Mexico City a lot so I would always go ther and visit the old cathedrals and palaces down town. When I was not in Mexico City I would be hiking mountains and going in volcanoes.  Sometimes I would go and visit small towns outside of Mexico City. Then I came back to the United States after three years of living there. I lived with my grandmother for the first few mounth coming back from Mexico, but then we moved across the street. I lived in the best district of San Antonio, but the school that I went to was not very good. After finishing Elementery I moved to the other part of the district and began Middle school. That school had the highest academic record of all the middle schools in San Antonio. Almost everyone who ended school there had a very high grade point average. During the summer of 1997 I took a trip to New York. It was the best place that I had gone through my teenage life. I went on a train and saw some of the most beautiful sites in the United States for three days. When I had got to New York I was amazed at everything. The day I came out of the train station and into the light I knew that I would never want to leave that place. When I was there I saw everything in the city of New York. For 6 weeks I saw fantastic things and soon I had to return. I still remember everything I did and it will never leave my mind. Now I am going to move out in the hill country and you never know what my next adventure will be.

I had a fun time in Tech Camp at TSBVI.
