5-6 Lone Star Goalball Tournament in Irving, Texas - 2010 Lone Star Classic Goalball Tournament

TSBVI's varsity boys' and girls' Goalball teams returned to Irving TX as defending champions from the previous year.  Since the Lone Star Classic is one of the toughest tournaments of the year, they knew they had their work cut out for them.  This tournament tested the teams' stamina and skills against 15 teams from Texas, Colorado and Alabama.

TSBVI came to the tournament with two boys' and one girls' varsity teams.  The girls' team came ready to play and went undefeated in the tournament to win the gold!  The winning girls' team members were Chasity Coberley, Destiny Pena, Daniela Yeberhu, Carolyn Regan and Jory Freeman.

The TSBVI's varsity boys' squad, named "Team Gold", was undefeated when they went into the Gold medal game against their new nemesis Alabama's Lake Shore team. However, Alabama's Lake Shore had revenge on their mind since their lost to Texas last November.  This time Alabama prevailed and won the gold. The TSBVI silver medal team members were Juan Garcia, Jamelle Hodges and Pedro Navarro.  TSBVI second boys' team, "Team Maroon", in their debut against advanced players, took fifth place in the tournament! TSBVI second boys' team members were Willie Harrison, Matthew Schiwart and Lee Jones.
