Allowance

Parents are asked to supply an average of $10 per week for extracurricular activities and personal needs.  Please bring the first deposit for your child on registration day.  You may mail additional deposits to TSBVI, attention Paula Effinger, Cashier; or send a check back, made payable to TSBVI, when your child returns to TSBVI after Weekends Home.  If you send a check back with your child, please make sure that your child gives the check to the Residential Instructor or Dorm Manager or, if your child is unable to do so, make sure that the check is immediately visible when the Residential Instructor opens your child's luggage or pack.  Please do not send cash back in your child’s luggage.  If you have questions, please contact Paula Effinger, 512.206.9215.  Thanks!

Linens - ONLY for For Students in “Comp A” Residential Program

Hygiene Articles

No personal hygiene articles are provided by TSBVI

Clothing

(Please label all clothing with child's name with laundry marker)

Miscellaneous

Any personal items such as radios, clocks, stereos, wallets, etc. may be brought to school, but must be marked or engraved with the student's name. Also, please clearly mark suitcases or trunks on the end with your child's full name. We do not recommend bicycles due to storage and security issues. (The Recreation Dept provides bicycles.) Other personal items, which may reduce periods of homesickness, are strongly recommended.

The list is only a recommendation of clothing and items the student should bring to school. If a student is required to bring supplies for school, the family will receive a separate list in the mail prior to the start of school.
