Sample Class Report

This popular class explores the hidden and not-so-hidden talents in everyone. Students participate in a variety of fine arts activities such as music, dance, drama, art, and writing. They work together and individually to develop and showcase their talents. Working together through the creative arts develops strong social connections between students, as they interact with one another to produce skits, songs, poems, speeches, drawings, and other inspired works.

On the final day of the program, the students will present an auditorium performance for peers, families and staff. They can perform their own work and/or work on other parts of the production team if they are not comfortable being on stage. This class is taught by teachers who not only work with visually impaired students, but also are performers in the Austin music and theater community.
