pom-pom Cheerleading pom-pom

We are very excited to have the SCASB Cheerleading Competition here in Austin, Texas this year. The competition has three different segments. The Cheerleaders started working on these routines in September. We use a lot of verbal and physical positioning to teach the girls each part of the cheers and chants. Then a lot of practice, practice and practice.

Team Trophies are given to 1st thru 3rd place. Team ribbons are awarded to 4th thru 6th place.

  1. Compulsory Cheer - This cheer must be done exactly as the picture shows.
  2. Five Minute Routine - Any chants or cheers. May include - tumbling, signs, megaphones, pom-poms, pyramids and stunts.
  3. Dance / Pom-pom Routine - May be up to three minutes. No signs, tumbling, pyramids or stunts during this routine. Music of choice.
  4. Individual Cheer Routine - non-competitive.
