Post-Secondary Program (PSP)

The Post-Secondary Program (PSP) is a collaborative endeavor between the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) and the Division for Blind Services, Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DBS).

This program serves legally blind students, ages 18-22, who have graduated from high school or achieved the equivalent. PSP is designed to give students the opportunity to experience the Real World in a supportive environment. Students participate in training at the Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center, receive academic remediation and support from TSBVI, and integrate skills from all areas in apartment living and volunteer/work experiences in the community. The program is student-driven, and we help students set long and short-term goals, enabling them to be more successful in their vocational endeavors.
